Message from the President of NYS IMSA
On January 12, 2016, the NYS IMSA Section held a board meeting. Existing President William Cova and existing Recording Secretary Alex Volfson resigned due to personal obligations. As existing Vice President, I was asked to take over the remaining term of President William Cova. I graciously accepted.
Upon my acceptance, I proposed the following changes. I requested that our current Treasurer/Delegate, Gaetano Mezzasalma, step up and assume the position of Vice President. I asked William Cova to assume the Recording Secretary position. Additionally, I asked Victor Paduano to become our Treasurer. Each of the above was voted on by the Board and accepted.
As new President, I will bring the NYS IMSA to a new level. Our mission is to provide the New York State section with all IMSA classes that are offered. I, along with our Officers and Board, will not falter in seeing that these goals are accomplished.
I urge all workers in New York to contact our Education Chairman for the classes that they may need to get certified or re-certified. Providing there are enough to fill a class, we will send out class moderators accordingly.
In closing, I would like to mention that our Annual Meeting will be held on October 1, 2016 at the Clearview Golf Course, Queens, NY. The meeting will be followed by our Golf Outing. I invite all members to attend, as well as any vendors and contractors who are interested in showing their products and services.
